Scalpers, beware.
Rosemont is taking a new approach to nabbing those trying to make more than face value on event tickets at Allstate Arena and the Rosemont Theatre.
Under new rules approved Wednesday, officers will be able to confiscate the tickets and issue a citation carrying a $75 fine. Scalpers previously could be arrested under a state law, but that made it more complicated to prosecute those caught in the act, said Peter Rosenthal, a village attorney.
