Shanghai. May 12. INTERFAX-CHINA - Japanese electronics retailer Yamada Denki needs a new business model if it hopes to compete in China, an analyst with CCID Consulting told Interfax today.
"Yamada Denki is not like supermarket giant Carrefour or Wal-Mart, which brought a supermarket business model to China and then dominated the market soon after. When Yamada comes to China, some domestic companies, such as Gome Electronic and Suning Electronic, will already hold dominant positions in the electronics retail market.
