Holy free comics, Batman!
Much like the bat signal shining in the sky, a sign in front of Emerald City Comics on Saturday lured hundreds with its promise of X-Men, Archie and Superman at no cost.
The scene was repeated all over the country, as independent comic book stores celebrated Free Comic Book Day, an event aimed at battling the equivalent of kryptonite to comic books and the stores that sell them - the Internet.
