MOTORISTS have been promised a smooth ride when they drive into part of Garstang's new-look town centre car park for the first time next week.
The boss of the firm creating the new car park and, later this summer the [pounds sterling]6 million Booths store, has spoken out in advance of the changes following concerns voiced by councillors that there could be 'chaos' during the temporary arrangements.
But this week speaking at the site Mr Neil Marsden, head of Goosnargh-based MBMC Limited, said: "I am expecting a smooth transition. There will be plenty of signs around explaining the situation."
