THE biggest travelling army in football history were mourning in Manchester last night after Rangers lost the UEFA Cup final.
But the fans at the City of Manchester Stadium sang their hearts out for their heroes as Walter Smith and his dejected team thanked them for their support with a lap of honour at full-time.
An estimated 175,000 Rangers fans had poured south to watch their heroes take on Zenit St Petersburg.
It was the 13,000 travelling Russian supporters who ended up celebrating after Zenit, led by former Ibrox manager Dick Advocaat, ...
