MANCHESTER - and the whole world of football - had never seen anything quite like it.
By yesterday afternoon, police reckoned that as many as 175,000 Rangers fans had flooded into the city for the club's biggest game in 36 years.
It was the biggest travelling army in the history of football, all come to see their heroes lift the UEFA Cup.
The locals gaped in amazement as their town turned red, white and blue, and officials had to halt the city's famous trams because they simply couldn't get through the crowds.
