KUALA LUMPUR, May 15 Asia Pulse - Scomi Engineering Bhd (KLSE:7366) has registered first quarter pre-tax profit of RM10.639 million (US$3.3 million), up 18 per cent year-on-year, driven by the growth of its energy engineering and logistics engineering divisions.
Revenue for the three months ended 31 March 2008 rose 24 per cent to RM96.7 million compared with the same period last year, it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia on May 14.
Earnings per share edged up to 2.96 sen from 2.63 sen previously.
Scomi Engineering attributed the good results to the growth of its energy engineering and logistics engineering divisions.
