Like those of many colleagues, my office shelves are lined with books on a myriad of professional topics, including several on team building. Some of these team-building books are brimming with games and activities, while others are grounded in theory and jargon.
My peers and I are administrators in search of some elusive remedy that promises to turn a collegial group of professionals into a powerful, collaborative team driven by a common vision.
Unfortunately, no 15-minute game played with a bandana, Post-it notes and a circle of chairs will help us accomplish that goal.
