Polish chemical firm Ciech decreases net profit nearly 20% to PLN 98 mln in Q1 2008
WARSAW. MAY 15. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - Polish chemical firm Ciech posted a PLN 98 mln net profit in the first quarter of 2008, nearly 20% less than in the analogous period of 2007, the company reported Thursday.
The company's sales revenues increased 12% to PLN 1 bln in Q1 2008, up from PLN 920 mln in Q1 2007.
"The revenues growth was mainly influenced by an acquisition in late 2007 of the German firm Sodawerk Stassurt and increase of some of the products prices, while sales volumes were maintained on a high level," the company wrote in ...
