Article: 63 PERCENT INCREASE IN SECOND QUARTER EARNINGS ANNOUNCED BY NATIONAL DATA CORPORATION

ATLANTA, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- National Data Corporation (NYSE: NDC) today announced a 63 percent increase in second quarter earnings.

Earnings for the quarter, ending November 30, were $5.73 million and $.24 a share. This compares to $3.51 million and $.17 a share for the same quarter last year. Revenue increased to $65.5 million compared to $59.8 million for the second quarter last year.

For the six month period, earnings increased over the comparable period last year by 62 percent. This follows full year earnings increases of 38 and 31 percent in fiscal 1995 and 1994 respectively.
