ITEA's Board of Directors has been monitoring discussion regarding a potential name change for the profession at their school's educational setting, on electronic venues, and at selected conferences. The preliminary information-gathering process generated Board discussion of trends and issues for the profession. The discussion led to action (November, 2007) by then-President Andy Stephenson, DTE to create a Task Force charged with creating a potential name-change analysis to be used for Board discussion.
