As it turned out, Tuesday's loss to Toronto was just the warmup act.
After making several mistakes in that game, the Twins had more in them on Wednesday during a 6-5 loss to the Blue Jays. After giving away too much to their opponent for two consecutive games, the Twins will try to avoid getting swept this afternoon when they dig in against righthander Dustin McGowan.
"That's not the Twins way, it's the baseball way," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said of the past two games. "You give away outs, you're going to lose baseball games."
