Frank Herrera's parents had one big dream: that all their children would obtain an education. The problem was, they were in Edna, Texas, and the school system then did not allow Mexicans to mix with Whites.
Having seen the many injustices that arose from the situation, Frank, Sr. fought them fiercely and convinced his son that lawyers had the greatest opportunities to effect change.
