RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Dec. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Glaxo Wellcome Inc. announces that the new drug application for its anesthesia product Nimbex(TM) (cisatracurium besylate) Injection has received marketing clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Nimbex is an intermediate-onset/intermediate-duration neuromuscular blocking agent used during general anesthesia for the facilitation of tracheal intubation, and to provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation in the Intensive Care Unit.
