Kazakhstan imposes oil export duty for first time
ALMATY. May 19 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan imposed export duty on oil for the first time on May 17.
The duty is $109.91 per tonne.
The oil export duty rate is set at $109.91 per tonne and $27.43 per tonnes for the companies that pay the rent tax on exports of crude oil and gas condensate.
However, the customs duties on crude oil exports will not apply to the companies operating on the basis of subsoil use contracts which provide for exemption from the mentioned duty.
