BAGHDAD -- Jamie Leigh Jones, a young employee of Halliburton/KBR working in Iraq, was drugged and, while she was unconscious, at least seven fellow employees gathered to socialize after work brutally gang raped her. Doctors who examined Jones documented the rapes and took photos of her injuries, which were so severe she required reconstructive surgery. Following the rapes, Jones was isolated in a locked room and was not allowed food, water or access to a telephone. In time she managed to borrow a cell phone and called her father in Texas, who contacted state representatives and the Baghdad Embassy, which ultimately rescued Jones.
