LOS ANGELES -- CEO/Chair Noel Irwin Hentschel of AmericanTours International (ATI) joined U.S. Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez and China National Tourism Administration Chairman Shao Qiwei, Thursday, in Beijing to officially announce that commencing June 17, Chinese leisure travelers will be permitted to travel in group tours without restriction to the United States. On Dec. 11, 2007, Secretary Gutierrez and Chairman Shao signed The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the United States of America.
