If there is one thing we've learned about the National League Central so far, it is that no lead is safe.
Especially in the ninth inning.
Getting the final three outs hasn't been impossible for NL Central contenders this season, it just seems that way. Closing a game shouldn't be this difficult, but the top relief pitchers in the division - with the notable exception of Cincinnati's Francisco Cordero - are blowing more save opportunities than anyone in baseball.
Entering play Saturday, St. Louis' Jason Isringhausen led the major leagues with six blown saves, followed by Milwaukee's Eric Gagne with five. Two other relievers had four and five ...
