An underground sewer system in Charleston, South Carolina, USA, has been repaired using a novel cast polymer composite sewer interceptor structure manufactured by U.S. Composite Pipe Inc.

The structures combine the strength of steel reinforcing rod with a special polymer concrete formulated with Vipel corrosion-resistant resin from AOC Resins, USA. These high-strength characteristics are important as Charleston is located in a seismic region.
