Article: EUROPEAN AUTO PRODUCTION SLIPS 3.4 PERCENT IN JANUARY, AUTOMOTIVE NEWS EUROPE REPORTS IN ITS FIRST EDITION

DETROIT, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Auto production fell 3.4 percent in Europe in January as makers reigned in their factories to match a slow economy, according to Automotive News Europe estimates.

Production in Europe fell to 1,072,730 units in January, down from 1,109,887 in January 1995.

The first edition issue of Automotive News Europe was published today, Feb. 5, and is being distributed to 18,000 executives and engineers in the European auto industry.
