Into this small book Miller packs a great deal of historical information on how the Hebrew Scriptures became a part of the Jewish, and later Christian, Bible. It is primarily a work of Old Testament scholarship, concentrating on the dynamics by which the sacred texts of the OT were brought together as we have them today.
