THE weekend competition at Brown Trout Golf Club was for the Davy McBride Memorial Cup.
It turned out a very closely contested affair with three players all returning 40 points each.
After the enforcement of the tiebreak Tommy McGowan (12) with 20 points each nine was declared the winner on count back over the last six holes with 14 point, edging Robert Orr (10) into runner/up place. Robert with 20 points each nine lost out with 13 points over the last six.
