Victoria Reggie Kennedy has been Sen. Edward M. Kennedy's anchor through their 16-year marriage as he guided the clan through heartbreaking deaths and illnesses, and the 54-year-old Louisiana native will be his rock as he wages his own battle with brain cancer, according to the couple's friends.
"She is the love of his life, she is his political counselor, his best friend, and they have an enormous amount of fun together," longtime Democratic strategist Bob Shrum told the Herald yesterday.
