Don't expect to see any new destinations added to the lineup at the Dane County Regional Airport any time soon.
In fact, given the current state of the economy, the soaring cost of jet fuel and the struggles with the entire airlines industry, Madison could be lucky to keep the level of service it has worked so hard to build.
"Airlines have reduced capacity extensively and that isn't going to stop," said Ron McNeill, an airlines industry analyst with Mead & Hunt. "New destinations are unlikely in this environment."
