Digital printing is attracting new interest for flexible packaging and labels, thanks to increased demand for small to medium-size print runs with good quality and fast turn-around. Digital printing is ideally suited to these requirements.
"When you look at the acceptance in the marketplace, it's definitely there," says Bob Scherer, vice president at the digital printing firm CL&D Digital. As one of the leading digital press vendors, the company is believed to have sold "as many presses in the past two years in all the years prior," adds Scherer.
