Article: THE WISER OIL COMPANY ANNOUNCES A 22 PERCENT INCREASE IN OIL AND GAS RESERVES FOR YEAR-END DECEMBER 31, 1995

DALLAS, Feb. 8 /PRNewswire -- The Wiser Oil Company (NYSE: WZR) today reported that its year-end 1995 proved reserves were independently estimated to be 50.5 million barrels of oil equivalent ("MMBOE"), a 22 percent increase over prior year's estimate of 41.4 MMBOE. 1995 production of 4.3 MMBOE was replaced by 313 percent. Proved oil and natural gas liquids ("NGL") reserves at the end of 1995 increased to 32.2 million barrels of oil ("MMBO") from 23.4 MMBO. Natural gas reserves at the end of 1995 increased to 109.9 billion cubic feet ("BCF") from 107.9 BCF.
