A former Army Ranger accused of planning a heavily armed Tacoma bank robbery two years ago pleaded not guilty Friday, but a plea bargain is reportedly in the works that could change that status as soon as next week.
Luke Sommer, who currently faces a life sentence if convicted, was extradited from Canada on Friday and appeared later in U.S. District Court in Seattle.
Canadian officials handed the 21-year-old Sommer over to their U.S. counterparts at the Peace Arch border crossing in Blaine.
