Ah, to be in England again! Isn't it loverly to stay at a graceful hotel in the Lake District and cozy up by the fireplace in the library with my wellborn loved one and a well-worn leather-bound volume of Maugham or Waugh. Or perhaps we'll sit in the front parlor sipping a little single-malt Scotch whiskey, neat, and savor all the wonderful objets and family photographs (Remember, my darling, when we went to Viscount Rathbone's wedding?") crowding the antique side tables next to the plumped-up settees. Even better, we can ascend the grand mahogany staircase, enter the bedroom and climb into the fourposter bed to sleep, perchance to dream.
