Soaring pollen levels have left allergy clinics swamped.
Hay fever victims have been left sneezing, itching and rushing for medical help.
Recent warm weather has pushed up the pollen count, meaning misery for millions who are allergic to the dusty plant substance.
And climate change has been blamed for making the grass pollen season - the worst for most allergy sufferers - arrive earlier and last longer.
An estimated 300,000 people in Lancashire are now thought to suffer from hay fever, also known as seasonal allergic rhinitis.
But relief could be at hand, thanks to a new treatment being trialed in the county.
