New York's Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is undergoing a major reconstruction, part of a $1.2bn (#616m) project conceived by US multi- disciplinary studio Diller Scofidio & Renfro.
The centre, built in the 1940s as part of an effort to regenerate New York's Upper West Side, will now be opened up to the surrounding area.
