Rigid order, model behavior are as important as pencils at West Denver Prep
West Denver Prep Head of School Chris Gibbons sat on a couch in a basement apartment on Wednesday afternoon, explaining in Spanish the rules of his charter middle school to a new student and his mom:
No tennis shoes. No gum. No makeup. A student who appears at school out of uniform is sent back home. A student who fails to complete homework - leaving even one problem blank - stays after school for an hour.
