Over 10,000 new Nokia Siemens Networks 3G sites, at 850, 1900, and 2100MHz frequencies, will be in operation in Latin America by the end of 2008. The company has managed to reap the full benefits of the mergers in the region and become the preferred 3G vendor for many of the top carrier groups throughout the continent, with 17 carrier customers to date.
