Nokia Siemens Networks has won a contract from Brasil Telecom GlobeNet for deploying SURPASS hiT 7300 multihaul DWDM (dense wavelength division multiplexing) platform. Nokia Siemens Networks said that it has already started to deploy the solution for Brasil Telecom GlobeNet.
Upon the completion of the first stage of the rollout, South Florida would get connected to Brasil Telecom GlobeNet's underwater fiber-optic network that links Bermuda, the East Coast of the US, Brazil, and Venezuela.
