A GRIEVING sister has slammed heartless thieves who stole flowers laid in memory of her murdered brother.

David 'Noddy' Rice, 42, was gunned down as he sat in his car at Marsden Lea car park, South Shields, on May 24, 2006, leaving his family devastated.

He was due to meet Steven Bevans, who lured Mr Rice to his death at the hands of masked gunmen, one of whom police believe was fugitive Allan Foster.

Bouquets and wreaths piled up at the beauty spot in memory of Mr Rice on Saturday from friends and family, but by Sunday morning they'd all been taken.
