I admit it. I approached this book with great anticipation and definite bias. Some of my roots go back into Bergen County, NJ, and neighbouring Orange County, NY, several generations prior to the American Revolution. Furthermore my Loyalists in the area include Henry Redner UE and John Babcock UE, both of the New Jersey Volunteers, and Abraham Maybee UE, a Secret Agent. Nothing could please me more than a book about Bergen County.
