Article: ETNA OK'd To Start Ethernet Network Parameters Work.

The Ethernet Transport Networks Architectures of Networking (ETNA) European consortium, comprised of top-ranked technology companies and universities on the continent, got the European Commission's blessing to start a program it says will "analyze, design and validate future metro and core networks based on Ethernet technology."

The ETNA consortium now pledges to invest $5.3 million during the next two years, of which the EC will contribute $3.4 million.
