Help from a charity that supports victims of the Buncefield disaster allowed a new mother to stay by the side of her seriously-ill son.
There were fears that little Curtis Cockling would not survive after he was born three months premature.
But the baby's family was facing hard times because Curtis' dad had been made redundant when his employer left the town after the oil depot blast.
Now mum Jackie Cockling is telling her story to help launch a fundraising drive for the charity, which has just been adopted by this year's Dacorum Mayor Carol Green.
