People living in the Lancashire village of Woodplumpton are more likely to become victims of identity fraud than those who live elsewhere, it has been revealed.
Research has shown people aged 26 to 45 who earn more than [pounds sterling]50,000 a year and own their homes are targeted more often.
Compared to the national average, people living in Woodplumpton are almost two-and-a-half times more likely to fall victim, followed by Grimsargh where residents are over twice as susceptible to the fast-growing crime.
Residents of Chipping and Barton are over one-and-a-half times more likely to be targeted.
