FTSE 100 giant InterContinental Hotels dealt a further blow to thegovernment's business credentials by admitting it is examining whether to moveits tax headquarters offshore.
The Holiday Inn-owner is the latest in a string of firms to review its taxaffairs amid concern about the onerous UK corporate tax regime.
Andrew Cosslett, chief executive of IHT ( up 14p to 825 1/2 p), who also holdsa senior role within the Confederation of British Industry said the hotelsgroup would consider its position over the next few months.
