It was stand-up that led comedian B.J. Novak to his role as Ryan Howard, the temp turned corporate manager at Dunder Mifflin on NBC's "The Office."
Novak first took the comedy stage in 2001 at the Hollywood Youth Hostel in Los Angeles. He soon became a steady fixture on the city's vibrant comedy scene.
In addition to appearing on "The Office," Novak is one of the show's writers and producers. He wrote such beloved episodes as "Diversity Day," "The Fire" and "Initiation."
