The Vancouver Public Library has scheduled a talk by Greg Felton, author of The Host and the Parasite: How Israel's Fifth Column Consumed America. The book is pretty much what you'd expect; Felton praises "sacrifice bombings" and suggests "a zionist connection to the WTC collapse." Vancouver's head librarian says he invited Felton because "his book was provocative but not hateful and we have found no information indicating the book is subject to any legal action." One might argue with "not hateful," and, in any case, such an undemanding standard could be met just as easily with a debate over 4-on-4 overtime in hockey--but wait a ...
