CPC reduces oil shipments 8.4% in Jan-May
MOSCOW. June 2 (Interfax) - The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) reduced oil shipments via the Yuzhnaya Ozereika-2 (Novorossiisk Port) terminal by 8.4% to 12.827 million tonnes in January-May 2008 from 14.008 million tonnes in the same period of 2007, the CPC said on its website.
The CPC shipped 2.683 million tonnes of oil in May alone, down 6.6% from April and 7% from May 2007.
The CPC's Tengiz-Novorossiisk pipeline, running 1,580 kilometers, links deposits in Western Kazakhstan with Russia's Black Sea coast. The CPC increased oil shipments by 4.8% to 32.6 million tonnes in 2007. The project, however, ...
