SEOUL, June 2 (Yonhap) -- The public approval ratings for Lee Myung-bak, the embattled president under fire for his hasty decision to lift a ban on U.S. beef imports and appointments of scandal-ridden figures to the Cabinet, have plummeted to the low-20-percent range in various media polls released on Monday.According to the polls conducted Saturday by major Korean newspapers, Lee garnered approval ratings of only 19.7 percent to 22.9 percent even before he marks his 100th day in office later this week.
