HOUSTON, Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Garden Ridge Corporation (Nasdaq: GRDG) today announced it has executed a definitive agreement to acquire the Pottery Mart location and related store equipment and fixtures presently operated on Interstate 45 South in Webster (Houston), Texas. The acquisition price of the leased space is approximately $2,000,000.

This store was originally opened in 1989 and offered merchandise categories similar to Garden Ridge. The store size and selling space is similar to the current stores Garden Ridge is opening. Garden Ridge expects to refurbish, stock and open the location as its fourth Houston store on or about May 15, 1996.
