WORK is due to begin this week on the revamp of a run-down public garden.
Planning permission has been agreed for the conversion of Siam Gardens, in Sudbury, from a former no-go zone to a peaceful area that celebrates Sudbury's silk weaving heritage.
The project, drawn up by Sudbury market town project officer Tom McConnell, received the stamp of approval from Babergh District Council at its development committee last Wednesday.
