It's pretty difficult to believe when you think about it. But here it is, 2008, and there are still plumbing contractors out there doing administrative work like estimates, billing and other office-type tasks by hand. (Or worse yet, just in their heads with nothing written on paper.)

No matter that those newfangled computer things have, since the 1980s, been commonly available to run the software that can do these humdrum tasks faster and more accurately, thus allowing plumbers to spend more time in the field making money.
