A MAN was fined [pounds sterling]1,000 after a dog under his control attacked a 20-month-old child.
Spalding magistrates heard that "boxer-type" dogs Levi, Tasker and George escaped from the back of a car as Maurice Miller, 51, was taking them from Riverside Veterinary Surgery in Cradge Bank, Spalding, on August 8.
They had been excited by the sight of a Jack Russell, taken to the vets by Caroline Herd who was carrying her daughter Claudia Dugmore.
Ms Herd, who lives in Godsey Lane, Market Deeping with her partner and Claudia's father Andrew, attempted to shield her dog and daughter from the attack.
