Prince William makes a crate start with the Royal Navy
London, Jun 4 (PTI) Prince William, the second-in- line to the British throne, has failed to "drop anchor" on his first day with the Royal Navy.
Despite two attempts, William did not succeed in the traditional test of "dropping anchor" and as a result he owes his new colleagues, a ten-member strong team, in the Navy a crate of beer.
"It is a tradition in the Royal Navy for someone who misses slipping the anchor first time to buy those on the ship a crate," the British media quoted the Prince's instructor Petty Officer Wayne Rattenbury as saying.
