Illinois Sen. Barack Obama's convincing victory in the Wisconsin Democratic presidential primary in February won't guarantee him a win in the fall general election in a state expected to be a key battleground, political experts and campaign officials said.
That's because Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona will heavily court the same working-class and independent voters who supported Obama in the primary and are seen as key to winning the state's 10 electoral votes.
And the new, mostly young voters Obama lured to the polls in February will have to be wooed all over again, experts said.
