HAYLING East councillor Andy Lenaghan got to be the "test pilot" for the latest tourist trap for the Island, which is being unveiled this month.
A replica of Hayling's original stocks - featured in last month's Islander - will make their public debut on June 21, when Havant MP David Willetts will officially unveil a replica, at Eastoke Corner.
The stocks are the idea of Discover Hayling's Robin Walton who has commissioned the replicas with help of local craftsman James Light, who was putting the finishing touches to the medieval punishment device at the end of May, before they become an official tourist attraction.
